2008 Masi Tupungato Passo Doble
Free Shipping on 6 or More Bottles

Argentine Malbec continues to be one of the hottest categories for value. We just received a new one that combines Argentina’s signature grape with a dash of Italian flair. The 2008 Masi Tupungato Passo Doble is a blend of 70% Malbec complemented by 30% Corvina, the grape that is famous for Valpolicella and Amarone. The addition of the Corvina adds roundness to the finish with some dried cherry notes and ripe tannins.

The Masi family of the name is best known as a producer of fine Amarone and Valpolicella from Verona in Italy, but they also produce this wine, so the use of Corvina reflects their centuries of expertise with the grape.

The 2008 Masi Tupungato Passo Doble was a recent “Daily Pick” on WineSpectator.com in the $15-30 range. We’re offering a special deal at just 9.99 per bottle on sale, with the added bonus of Free Shipping on orders of six or more!

Wine Spectator 88 Points-- Briar and wild herb notes accent the racy plum and blackberry fruit in this medium-bodied red, as hints of tar and tobacco chime in on the solid finish. Drink now. 8,000 cases imported.–NW
