Here are some comments from the critics on Argentina's signature white grape, Torrontes...

“…this looks to be a better year for white wines than 2009, and I was particularly taken with some 2010 Torrontés bottlings—a variety, by the way, that continues to gain in popularity in the U.S.” Stephen Tanzer, International Wine Cellar

“Torrontes is a unique variety with most of the top examples coming from Cafayate in Salta where there are a number of old-vine plantings.” Jay Miller, Wine Advocate

A super deal for a 92 point white wine for just $14.99. PLUS $1 per bottle shipping on six bottles and Free shipping on a Case!

Jay Miller Wine Advocate 92 Points-- Round and mouth-filling; tons of fruit. Dry, succulent, complex, exceptional length

Stephen Tanzer 90 Points-- Very pale yellow. Subtly complex aromas of lime, dusty herbs and ginger. Supple, concentrated and serious, with a tactile quality and good lift to the lime zest and floral flavors. Finishes dusty and long, with lingering floral perfume. A lovely example of Torrontes, from a vineyard planted at an altitude of 1,750 meters.
