The regions and the blends are similar, with Grenache being the dominant grape in each. The 2007 Gigondas La Reference is a blend of primarily Grenache with some Syrah, Mourvedre, and Cinsault. What isn’t similar to Chateauneuf du Pape is the price. Most Gigondas are more reasonably priced at $25 to $35.
