From The Perrin Family Of Famed Chateau de Beaucastel

2009 Tablas Creek Cote de Tablas Rouge
$1 per Bottle Shipping on Six Bottles or More

Tablas Creek Winery in Paso Robles, California was founded by the Perrin family, owners of the great Rhone valley estate Chateau de Beaucastel, and Robert Haas, founder of a well-regarded wine import company, Vineyard Brands.

The winery was created with the southern Rhone Valley in mind. The winery is dedicated to Rhone varietals, and for their reds, they use a similar blend of grapes to that of the Perrin family’s Chateau de Beaucastel Chateauneuf du Pape. They imported vine cuttings from their estate in the Rhone valley, and the grapes are organically grown.

The 2009 Tablas Creek Cote de Tablas Rouge is a blend of primarily Grenache with Syrah, Counoise, and Mourvedre. A big, explosive Rhone blend that could handle any steak or sweet/spicy sausages on the grill. Let it breathe for 30 minutes if you can. It’s a monster.

The Wine Spectator recently awarded the 2009 Tablas Creek Cote de Tablas 93 points in its May 18 edition of the Wine Spectator Insider. Our price is 26.98 per bottle on sale with an added bonus of $1 per bottle shipping on six or more.

Wine Spectator 93 Points -- Charmingly fruity, supple and fun to drink, exhibiting ripe plum, black cherry and wild berry fruit that’s smooth and layered, with a long, fruity finish. Grenache, Syrah, Counoise and Mourvèdre. Drink now through 2017
