QPR red under $10 from amazing 2007 vintage

2007 Cote 125 Corbieres

By now I think we, along with many of our customers, know just how great a vintage 2007 was for the Southern Rhone Valley in France. But that greatness also carries over to the wines of the Languedoc region, which is not too far from the Rhone Valley.

Our latest discovery from the 2007 vintage is the 2007 Cote 125 Corbieres, which delivers tremendous quality for the money. In fact, Michel Tardieu (Rhone) and Dominique Laurent (Burgundy producer) are helping to keep the quality at a high level.

A terrific everyday red blend from the South of France (Syrah, Grenache, Mourvedre and Carignan), this medium-bodied wine carries notes of currant, black pepper, and a little bit of earth to compliment marinated, spice-rubbed, or peppercorn-encrusted steaks and meats.
