Bright, deep ruby-red. Crushed berries, dried fruit nuances, pepper and a musky, meaty suggestion of reduction on the nose. Densely packed wine with dark raspberry and pepper flavors complicated by a saline nuance. This has creamy depths, with only a faint rough edge giving away its 60% bonarda component. Nicely sappy wine with firm but fine tannins and very good length and lift.
