Earth, herb, root vegetable, sassafras, red and black currant, and a hint of sweet and sour cherry characteristics are found in the 2007 Pinot Noir Ampelos. Another Burgundian-styled, earthy, soil-based wine, it roars from the glass with considerable complexity. It, too, will drink nicely for another decade.
