We tasted the Clos des Jacobins at our Bordeaux tasting back in September and the wine showed beautifully. Our Bordeaux buyer liked the wine so much that he didn't think we should offer such a low price for a wine of this quality. But, we convinced him to budge on the price since we still have 15 cases in stock. And we need to move some Bordeaux to make room for more 05 and 06 Bordeaux that will be arriving soon.

Dark in color, almost black. Aromas of raisin, spices and blackberry follow through to a full body, with chewy tannins and a long, powerful finish. Has loads of fruit and toasty oak. This is exciting. A new 1947? Best after 2016. 2,415 cases made.
