We jumped on the 2009 Cru Beaujolais bandwagon early on, back in the late summer of 2010. The critics have all jumped on as well, with the last one being Josh Raynolds of the International Wine Cellar who titled his article “Beaujolais 2009: Up to the Hype?”
Here’s what he said about the vintage, “buy all the best 2009s that you can find and afford and plan on drinking them with abandon over the next five or six years…”
Here’s one of those “best 2009’s” he was talking about. The Domaine du Pavillon des Chavannes Cote de Brouilly "Cuvee Ambassades". Josh rated it 92 points and we thought that it’s certainly one of the best of the vintage ever since we tasted it at our Grand Tasting in October.
